VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
SPEAKER: Interviewer
Hi, Connie. Thank you for joining us today. Can I ask, what brings you to Cyboss? What are you looking forward to while you're here?
SPEAKER: Connie
Well, I think really coming here to meet our customers and also our partners. I think what I'm looking for is really what's top of mind for them, for the customers, and what are some of the challenges they're facing. From a partner perspective, what is the industry strategy? And also for us to share some of the industry trends and how technology can really help them, empower them to become the future of the bank.
SPEAKER: Interviewer
All right, super. That sounds like a great customer-focused agenda. Can you tell us one thing that you yourself has learned or one topic that gets you really excited from Cyboss?
SPEAKER: Connie
I think one thing that I learned is really listening to the customers, what their experience and feedback are in terms of the digital transformation. I think the key thing that we learn is they are in different maturity, and I think most of the questions they're asking is how can they accelerate that transformation journey?
SPEAKER: Interviewer
Super. Thinking about your customers and particularly the Asian financial services market, we know that there's a real rapid pace of change and a lot of innovation locally. Now, what are you seeing in the region? What are the key trends that your customers are having to cope with, and how do Microsoft really help your customers with that rapidly evolving landscape?
SPEAKER: Connie
Well, I think there are basically three things that I'm really hearing from them. I think the first one will be how do they really do the modernization on the infrastructure, on the legacy systems, and also on the people, right, in terms of skills. The second thing is how can they be more personalized and more customer-focused in terms of bringing value and also up their value chain in terms of the banking services and sometimes embedding finance into the lifestyle of the transaction or the lifestyle of the customers.
And from a partner perspective, it's really listening from them, how are they really developing an industry strategy. I think the third one is really about automation and simplification and how do they really boost up productivity and also in terms of COVID, a lot of the hybrid work. I would say, you know, looking at how they really have a hybrid environment that will be physical in the office but also working from home.
So I think from a Microsoft perspective, it's really technology is everything in terms of enabling because we're in a digital world, right, so we really need technology. For us, it's really how we can help them with the Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services, accelerate that digital transformation journey.
SPEAKER: Interviewer
Fantastic. And whilst your clients are on that journey, what do you think the biggest challenges that they're going to be facing would be? How does Microsoft technology really help them to tackle those challenges?
SPEAKER: Connie
I think the one of the challenges what we're going through is really change management. So I think from, you know, all the way from the CEO to the CXO down to the individual, everyone is changing the way they are operating, the way they are processing, and also the way they are reacting and also bringing out products to the market. And I think that is really the change management process that really needs technology to help and, you know, fill some of the gaps and also to manage, you know, a very complex modernization journey.
So I would say, you know, finding the right business case, some of the right scenarios, and also start from small. I think technology is really from very different spectrum. We can have all kinds of products and services that can help them like the Microsoft Teams, they can use it for remote, you know, working and also for remote selling. And then as I mentioned, the Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services is really helping our clients how they can really focus on just launching the services using a one common data model, you know, holistically monetizing all of their data and how do we bring the data to the ecosystem or even some of the open banking where they're connecting to third party or third party services providers.
So I think all of that is really where technology can help them with data and having a structure on structured data and digitalizing that to make smarter and more personalized decisions.
SPEAKER: Interviewer
It sounds like you've got some great solutions to help your clients, our clients with those challenges. Now, finally, can you tell me what are you most looking forward to in 2023 and beyond? Where do you see the most exciting opportunities?
SPEAKER: Connie
I think where I'm most forward looking to is really how we can continue to help our customer because digital transformation is journey. It's not something that you can obviously everybody start. It's not something that you end with because data is always exploding. You have your internal data, your external data, you have a lot of data that you can manage and you can also, you know, outsource the data or acquire data. So I think it's really in that journey that how we can help our customer to be more agile, to be able to use technology in a smart way that they can really bring value to the customers.
And we continue to involve with our partners where our partners can also bring solutions on our technology platform. I'm excited to see some of the business impact we're driving for our industry.
SPEAKER: Interviewer
That sounds fantastic. And we're looking forward to going on that journey with Microsoft and your clients. Connie, thank you so much for joining us today. Enjoy the rest of Cyboss.
SPEAKER: Connie
