What is your biggest or boldest prediction for the future of the aviation industry? The way digital is going, it's going to transform what we expect from the airline. I think we're going to have a lot more insight into the decisions that we can make now to avoid a painful experience later. Something that makes me really excited is for travel to become something people look forward to, as opposed to a stressor. The choice and individualization of travel, that's something that will happen. We have to train thousands of cabin crews. It's much easier to do it with a virtual reality or mixed reality than with physical seats. It's more scalable. If the cabin crew is trained on a mixed reality seat, they can much better understand where they can reset seats, where they can fix things.
Oh yeah, that's an easy one. Experience is really the battleground right now. We're not just talking about experience of the day of flying, but really starting from the second someone thinks about wanting to take a trip or to travel for something. You'll see industries such as retail and other industries that set the bar on what us as humans expect, and we take that from that industry and apply it to when we fly. Even more than in the past, you're going to see airlines win when they're customer obsessed. There's very few industries where customers actually have a strong personal relationship or want to have a relationship with a company like they do in aviation. The airlines that are able to understand who their customers are, what they want, and in turn the data that supports that, you're going to see a differentiation between those airlines.
Biometrics. People are getting comfortable with it. Not having to pull out their passport or any kind of ID and just walk on through. I think customer journey is going to change immensely. The airport is no longer just going to be a place where you push customers through. It's going to be a destination place. The aviation industry is going to evolve well beyond just transportation. It's not an idea of getting from point A to point B, but really this embracing of the experience economy. With AI and data becoming more and more central, the operations are just going to get more and more reliable. Instead of being reactive, they'll become more and more proactive, and that'll just be a better experience both for their employees and for their passengers. So I'm going to hold it against you. My next flight experience isn't the most seamless thing I've ever had. I did say 2030, so it'll be a little bit further out.
