Okay, so let's try. I'm gonna totally wing this, right?
Hey everyone! My name is Marie De Luna and I'm a Vice President of Engineering with Publicis Sapient. Today, we will be answering questions from the internet about Martech, a.k.a. marketing technology. What is Martech? Martech is an ecosystem of software applications and tools that helps marketers create, manage, deliver online and offline content to their customers. What are the top trends in Martech? Customer data platform, identity solutions, journey orchestration, AI and ML data platforms. All of these trends in Martech mean that everybody is moving towards the holy grail of one-to-one personalization at scale. All marketers want to be able to deliver the right content, the right message, the right offer at the right time in the right channel. Predict the intent of the customer so that you can give them what they want and what they're looking for, when they're looking for it, versus giving everybody the same message.
Someone from Quora asked, how do I start a Martech stack for marketing operations? Oof, this is a loaded question. What are your needs and what do you have? How many clients do you have? How big of a business are you? Do you need a marketing automation software? Depending on the maturity of your marketing operation is where your Martech stack needs to grow. Eventually you have to build all of these, right? It's just a matter of prioritizing what you need and it all depends on, you know, business priorities, customer needs, and, you know, capabilities.
A Quora user asked, how does headless hybrid solve challenges you are currently facing with your legacy Martech stack? Hybrid means that there are certain components on the page that are managed and dragged and dropped by the users, but then there are components that are headless, meaning there is no authored element of that component and that component is completely data-driven and pulling its content from a data source. Everybody has different challenges with their legacy Martech stack. So headless or hybrid may not solve someone's particular problem because remember, one size does not fit all, right? Like a solution for one, for their legacy Martech stack that could be solved by headless may not be a proper solution for another legacy Martech stack because their challenges are very different.
Someone from Quora asked, what is your ideal Martech stack for a B2B brand targeting large enterprises? Your decision makers, even if they are B2B clients, your decision makers are consumers in of themselves, right? And they expect the same experiences that they are getting on their day-to-day life. They expect that from their vendors as well. So for me, the ideal Martech stack for a B2B brand is going to be very similar to the Martech stack of a B2C company, right? Because at the end of the day, you are marketing to a person versus marketing to a company.
What do I love about my role? I'm a problem solver. That's what I live for. That's the, to me, you know, one of the greatest aspects of my job, one of the things I really look forward to, right? Like the one that challenges me is to understand what the problems that our clients are trying to solve. And it's always a different problem, right? Like this is why I love consulting. A different client, a different industry, right? It's a different kind of problem. And we may be solving it using the same tools, platforms, and technology, but the solution is unique to that client because that client has unique problems.
